NASA’s Mars rover, Perseverance, deposited its first pattern of rocks at the Pink Planet’s floor Wednesday for an eventual go back to Earth.

The rover positioned a titanium tube containing the rock pattern as a part of NASA’s Mars Pattern Go back marketing campaign.
